WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
Judges 1:1-8

Introduction:     In this passage we find the “law of requital,” (v.7). In the New Testament, we know it as the “law of the harvest,” (Gal.6:7-8).

Three simple truths drawn from these few scriptures:

I.          THE POSSESSION OF A PROMISE (VV.1-4)

Promises are powerless unless you appropriate them:

            A.        The Providing Of A Promise (v.2)

            B.         The Obeying Of A Promise (v.4)

II.         THE PUNISHING OF A SINNER (VV.5-7)

These verses teach us some things:

A.        Judgment Is Inescapable

B.         Vengeance Belongs To God

C.        God’s Judgment Always Prevails

D.        God Rewards Good

III.       THE PURIFYING OF A LIFE (V.8)

Conclusion:       There is a law of requital in the Bible. If you sow good seeds you get a good harvest. If you sow sin you reap misery that could scar your life forever. Let’s come clean and allow the Holy Ghost fire of God to purify our lives. Let’s feast at the table. Let’s live for the Lord!
